INDUSTRIAL LAMINATION

Premium industrial flooring and conveyor of foods

What is Industrial Laminate Flooring?

Industrial lamination is the process of bonding two or more flexible packaging webs using a bonding agent. The web can consist of films, papers, and aluminium foils. To make a duplex or two-layer laminate, an adhesive is then applied to the less absorbent substrate web, then the second web is squeezed through it using our highly sophisticated laminate machines.

At Archbond, we specialise in creating durable, industrial laminate flooring and food packaging. Industrial lamination is wildly used to:

  • Improve the appearance of products.
  • Serve as a barrier between the product and the environment, as well as becoming a part of it.
  • Add a scratch-resistant surface, and you’ve got yourself a winner.
  • Increase the colour saturation of printed photos.
  • Offers UV protection.
  • Provide products with a high-quality finish.

Industrial lamination is used in a wide range of industries, including food packaging, flooring and the production of technical laminates for the solar energy and insulating panel industries.

We have several means of performing industrial lamination all of which provide their own unique benefits:

We have acquired 30 years’ worth of knowledge and expertise on each of these processes to provide customers with innovative solutions for a wide range of industries.

What are the Benefits of Industrial Laminate Flooring?

We specialise in industrial laminate flooring which offers several benefits, including:

Great DurabilityIndustrial laminate flooring has great durability, making it one of the best out of all types of flooring, though, this depends on the flooring quality. It can withstand heavy foot traffic, spills, and abrasion which makes it ideal for industrial settings. Laminate flooring is also resistant to scratches, dents, and stains.

Cost-effective – It is typically less expensive than other types of industrial flooring. It can be easily installed as a DIY project.

Easy Installation – It can be installed quickly and easily with minimal disruption to business operations.

Wide Range of Styles – Laminate flooring comes in a variety of colours, patterns, and textures, allowing for customisation to fit the design and aesthetics of the space.

Low Maintenance – It is easy to clean and requires minimal upkeep.

The Different Types of Industrial Lamination Processes We Offer

On top of industrial flooring and conveyor of foods, there are several other applications that industrial lamination is ideal for, including:

Packaging Solutions – In packaging, lamination is used to improve the material’s strength, attractiveness, and barrier qualities, resulting in a longer shelf life and better aesthetics. Labels and pouches gain from greater durability and resilience to environmental elements, including moisture and UV rays, while flexible packaging, that is laminated, can quickly change shape without breaking.

Printed Materials – Lamination offers a shield against deterioration from use and the effects of the environment for printed materials. Brochures, posters, and other marketing materials should be laminated to increase their longevity, as well as give the text a polished appearance that will appeal to the target audience.

Industrial Applications – Industrial lamination fills specialised tasks for a range of industrial sectors. For abrasives, a laminate layer can help to bind the abrasive substance more efficiently. Lamination can improve the insulating qualities of insulation and provide better protection from the environment. Lamination gives gaskets more strength and guarantees a better seal, preventing leakage.

Automotive and Aerospace Components – In the automotive and aerospace industries, lamination is essential for the performance, resistance, and longevity of parts. High-strength materials that can survive harsh circumstances, such as temperature changes or high pressures, are frequently needed for components. A component’s lifetime and dependability can be increased by laminating it to save weight and protect it from the elements.

Signage and Graphics – Lamination provides both protection and enhancement for signage and graphics. Signs and images that have been laminated are protected from the environment, fading, and physical harm, keeping them colourful and undamaged for longer. The additional layer provides the graphics with a glossy or matte appearance, highlighting an optimal aesthetic appeal.

Conveyor of Foods - A PVC film is laminated onto a soft foam to make a ‘soft landing’ conveyor belt for use in transporting fruit and vegetables and other food items.

This reduces the bruising and damage to the produce which could happen with other conveyor materials. This material can be supplied with a self-adhesive backing to make mounting easier.
